You will see the pattern in these stories: God shows up among the people, God reveals something about the divine nature or God’s vision for how people should proceed in their next steps. All these interactions are very impactful; they are life-defining, not just for certain individuals, but for the whole society and generations to come. Quite a grand entrance! And an appropriate topic to kick off the year with a discipline of reading Scripture and personally reflecting on what you are hearing in it.
